Our direct client has an opening for a Assistant HR Benefits Specialist.

Contract position initially (with the possibility of converting to Full-Time)

Remote work initially, later on site at client’s offices

Westchester County, NY area

Human Resources Benefits Specialist


Day to day responsibilities:

• Manage, schedule, and conduct benefit orientation for all new employees

• Facilitate & lead Open Enrollment

• Connect with employees to understand what existing and new benefits are most appreciated and/or desired

• Act as a point person for questions related to any and all benefits

• Enroll new employees in benefit plans and update information

• Prepare all benefit termination packets, including maintain and tracking COBRA

• Develop and implement an efficient process for tracking and follow up with newly eligible employees

• Run monthly benefit reports and assist in benefit correspondences

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field experience

• Minimum of 3 years Benefits & HR experience (must have benefits expertise)

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent customer service

• Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills

• Must be expert in Microsoft Office (Excel (Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, Word) and have HRIS experience with UltiPro. Knowledge of Oracle and Workday a plus.
