Our client is a world leader is consumer products. They currently have a need for a Senior Program Manager (Data Platform) to work in their PMO and will be responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects focused on Data Platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Drive engagement with stakeholders to create visibility and transparency for progress updates, while removing any obstacles
- Guide cross-functional groups on project management process, standards and industry best-practices
- Manage and lead multiple Data Platform projects, ensuring project management processes and project controls are being followed, including coordination of meetings, meeting minutes, tracking, management of risks and issues, and follow ups
- Establish effective working relationships across multiple business and technology partners, in addition to external 3rd Party vendors
- Create project estimates and project plans with detailed work breakdown structures, workflows, governance and engagement models as needed
- Work closely with project sponsors and project teams to ensure on-time project implementation and realize identified project objectives and benefits
- Manage the progress and documentation in Trello and Confluence
Skills & Knowledge:
- 8+ years of experience in project management with experience leading in addition to driving Data Platform projects from concept to deployment
- 3+ years of experience in a digital organization, successfully driving digitally focused initiatives
- Experience managing various types of projects and work, with some technical or product development experience
- Problem solving, negotiation and conflict management skills, in addition to budget and time management
- Experience with various methodologies: Waterfall/Hybrid/Agile/SCRUM
- Risk management, executive facilitation and status reporting skills
- Ability to facilitate large workshops in a structured manner
- Experience with Atlassian tools primarily Trello, Confluence and JIRA (Software, Work Management, Service Management)
- BA/BS required. MBA/Masters/ PMP or PGMP certification is a plus
