Digital IT Project Manager–REMOTE but in NYC area
Senior IT Project/Program Manager | Remote or Hybrid | Long term contract
Senior Project/Program Manager needed for cutting edge digital solutions client in NYC. The successful IT PM will be responsible for ensuring that a project roadmap is delivered on time, within budget, and with quality meeting expectations of all stakeholders. He/she will be responsible for working across all functional and technical areas to ensure that successful project delivery occurs. The PM will oversee multiple project teams with around 20+ resources in total and be responsible for creation and management of the project plan, as well as coordination across all groups to deliver tasks as outlined in the project plan.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Delivery of the project roadmaps and execution of project plans.
- Ownership of the project roadmaps and coordinate input from key stakeholders to influence the roadmaps.
- Standardize processes for managing schedule, scope, risks, and dependencies.
- Responsibility for the financial health of the project, including managing the budget, working with teams within and outside of the project to secure funding as needed, and building and tracking the progress of the business case.
Required skills:
- 7+ years of project management experience with technology (Software driven) projects.
- Expert experience in Project Management concepts and strategy.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Ability to coach teams on Agile best practices.
- Experience with managing scope, schedule, resources and budgets for multiple projects.
- Experience working with multiple business groups to balance expectations.
- Experience with risk management and tracking project deliverables.
- Knowledge of technical software development and quality engineering concepts.
- A track record of successfully delivering projects in a large matrixed organization.
- STRONG Financial and budgetary skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with presentation experience to senior leadership.
