Job Description: Contracts Manager

Are you a Contracts Manager with experience drafting and negotiating concurrent complex professional service agreements and transactions with strategic business partners and vendors? Do you excel at achieving technology and product/service initiatives, securing long-term relationships, realizing financial goals, and minimizing risk? Are you highly skilled in partnering with business units to advise and provide consultative support on business, legal, compliance, technology, and financial issues? If so, this may be the role for you.

As a Contracts Manager, you will manage a wide variety of complex third-party partner and major vendor relationships in support of domestic and international strategies, product/services, software, and technology objectives. You will negotiate, draft, close, and manage complex agreements to secure the necessary relationships and technology for current and future needs.

In this role, you will provide consultative support to senior and executive management regarding preserving business flexibility, maximizing leverage and benefit, negotiating strategic partner and vendor transactions, reducing financial and litigation risk, and managing strategic initiative impacts, including NOI and P/L. Additionally, you will oversee business compliance policies and processes and stay abreast of business, technology, and legal developments that could impact business and strategy.

What You’ll Do

Here’s what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Manage strategic business partner and major vendor relationships to achieve strategic product/service, financial, and operational objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to secure complex business partnerships and meet third-party technology needs.
  • Proactively manage relationships to meet mission-critical needs while minimizing financial impact.
  • Conduct ongoing dialogues with internal clients, as well as existing and prospective third-party partners, to capitalize on new opportunities and avoid missed opportunities.
  • Negotiate, draft, and close complex agreements and transactions with strategic business partners and major vendors to secure long-term relationships, achieve financial goals, and minimize risk.
  • Ensure timely closure of agreements that support strategic technology goals, preserve business flexibility, minimize financial exposure, and comply with partner objectives.
  • Advise and consult with senior/executive management and Corporate Legal on major business, legal, technology, and financial issues.
  • Provide creative, solution-oriented input on business, technology, legal, and financial aspects of relationships and specific transactions to achieve optimal results.
  • Monitor market, industry, technology, legal, and business trends to proactively respond to opportunities and mitigate adverse impacts.
  • Manage cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and effective project results.

To Succeed in This Role

You’ll need:

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role, including 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating concurrent complex SaaS agreements.
  • Expertise in managing strategic business partner and vendor relationships to meet financial and operational objectives.
  • A proven track record of providing innovative, solution-oriented input on market, industry, technology, legal, compliance, and business issues.
  • Experience advising and consulting with senior leadership and legal teams on critical relationship and contract issues.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
