Multi Cloud Platform Architect (REMOTE)

Our financial client is actively seeking a senior technology architect is needed to lead efforts in modernizing enterprise applications including migration and transition to cloud infrastructure. Based near Montclair, NJ, they prefer a hybrid onsite resource but will consider a remote person who lives out of area. This highly visible role focuses on designing scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud solutions while addressing challenges in migration and integration.

Long term contract. Can be W2 hourly or Corp-to-Corp.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cloud migration strategies and collaborate with engineering teams on implementation.
• Design target cloud architectures focused on scalability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Recommend modernization approaches based on current tech stack evaluations.
• Leverage cloud-native services and emerging technologies in solution architecture.
• Resolve integration issues between on-prem and cloud systems.
• Promote infrastructure automation and cloud deployment best practices.
• Document architecture decisions and provide guidance on complex technology challenges.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology roles, with strong emphasis on architecture and cloud.
• Deep knowledge of multi cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and native services.
• Experience with application migration, modernization, and cloud-native patterns.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with cloud security and cost optimization.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Cloud certifications and experience with structured migration frameworks.
