Senior AWS DevOps engineer needed for eLearning company in NYC
Our client is a highly established organization with an immediate need for this engineer to join their team. Strong preference for a local resource who will work remotely but attend periodic onsite meetings maybe 1x a month.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts for deployment and infrastructure management
- Strong hands on expertise in Systems/Network on AWS
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment, and automation processes
- Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security best practices for cloud infrastructure, including IAM policies, encryption, network security, and compliance
- Configure and maintain CDN services for optimized content delivery
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure design and management
- Experience in application architecture, EKS, Security, and CDN
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Auto Scaling, and CloudFormation
- In depth knowledge on AWS EKS, Ansible with proven ability to work on biweekly sprints with distributed team across the globe.
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more programming languages for automation (ie Python)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and Terraform
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty are a plus
